Coronavirus Advice

At MyMed Direct LTD, the health and safety of our patients and colleagues is our priority during this difficult time.

The government’s advice around coronavirus is beginning to vary by region. Because of this, we recommend you refer to your local government’s website for the most up to date information for your area.

However, it’s still important that you do everything possible to protect yourself and your community. This includes:

  • Washing your hands regularly
  • Staying at home as much as possible
  • Minimising your use of public transport
  • Working from home if you can
  • Limiting your contact with other people
  • Maintaining social distancing in line with government guidance

If you have the symptoms of coronavirus, such as a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a change to your taste and smell, you should self-isolate for 10 days from when your symptoms started.

You should arrange to have a test to find out if you have COVID-19. Find out more.

If you are not experiencing symptoms but have tested positive for COVID-19, self-isolate for at least 10 days, starting from the day the test was taken. If you develop symptoms during this isolation period, restart your 10-day isolation from the day you developed symptoms.

If someone in your household develops symptoms of coronavirus, you should self-isolate for 14 days from when their symptoms started, or if they don’t have symptoms, from the day their positive test was taken. If you then develop symptoms during the 14-day period, you should self-isolate for 10 days from when your symptoms started.

Advice on our prescription delivery service during COVID-19

Continue to order your prescription from your surgery as normal. Sign up for electronic prescriptions with your GP, if possible. As soon as the prescription comes through from your practice, we will get the delivery out to your door step.

Let us know if you are self-isolating. Our team is taking all precautions necessary including the use of PPE (personal protective equipment) which helps to keep our patients, our colleagues and the wider community safe.
